A feature film star going to soap opera, James Franco will hop on one more wagon to star on “30 Rock“. Entertainment Weekly has reported that he will follow up his “General Hospital” stint with a guest star appearance on the primetime Emmy Award-winning comedy. Unlike in the soap drama, his appearance on “30 Rock” is likely a one-time stint.

NBC has not given its official statement regarding the casting but EW has provided a bit of information on how he would incorporate to the story. An insider said that Franco will play himself and he will be involved in a “faux romance” with Jane Krakowski’s Jenna, a courtesy of their respective agents.

Back in September, writer slash star Tina Fey has hinted this kind of storyline, telling EW, “[Jenna gets] into a high-profile relationship with a movie star that is arranged by their agents.” The plan is, Franco would start filming his part this week.

Meanwhile, the first look of the “Milk” star in “General Hospital” has been shared by Soap.net. There is still no word yet what character he is playing on the daytime show, but it was reported back then that he is a mystery man not involved in any of the hospital procedure. Franco will stay at the Port Charles for at least two months starting November 20.

It looks like a deal is brewing between Tina Fey and Justin Timberlake. The two stars, who enjoyed a shower of attention at the recent Primetime Emmy Awards, may be sharing a screen should a deal between him and the writers of “30 Rock” reach a favorable end.

To Access Hollywood, Fey expressed her interest in getting the singer-turned-actor to join the comedy. “We should track him down. He’d be good,” the depicter of Liz Lemon on the series said. “I’m sure he’d totally do it – he’s not busy.”

When reached for a comment on the invitation, Timberlake said, “Okay, you know what’s funny? The writers just walked through when I was heading back from the from taking photos, and one of the writers said, ‘Hey Justin, we gotta get you on 30 Rock‘.” He added that he has an agent and they will see how it turns out.

“30 Rock” was a clear winner at the September 20 event, taking home 5 out of 20 nominations it was put under. The only upset was Tina Fey did not win the Best Actress in Comedy title because Toni Collette snagged it for her role on the new Showtime series “United States of Tara“.

Justin Timberlake meanwhile, was a winner of Creative Arts Emmys which was held a week prior to the Primetime Emmys. His performance on “Saturday Night Live” scored Outstanding Guest Actor in Comedy Series. In fact, Fey was the one who grabbed the Actress part.

In the meantime, “30 Rock” has secured a guest appearance from Betty White who will play as herself. “We all put names in a hat, and we took a vote, if you could have one guest star for the whole season, who would it be?” Alec Baldwin said. “And Betty White was the winner!”. The show is returning to NBC on October 15.

The first batch of celebrities lending their hands as presenters at this year’s Primetime Emmy Awards has been announced. The Academy of Television Arts and Sciences opts to go big this year by tapping huge names such as Jon Hamm and Tina Fey. Both stars are nominated at the event with the latter having won Outstanding Guest Actress in a Comedy Series at Creative Arts Emmys.

The others on the list include those from “Gossip Girl“, “True Blood” and “Grey’s Anatomy“. Blake Lively and her co-star Leighton Meester will read a category, either together or separately. There are also “Vampire Bill” Stephen Moyer, “Dr. Bailey” Chandra Wilson and “Jack Bauer” Kiefer Sutherland.

These people are confirmed coming to the stage along with Simon Baker, Dana Delany, Jimmy Fallon, Alyson Hannigan and Jason Segel. The second batch of presenters as well as the performers are expected to be announced within a week.

The 61st Annual Primetime Emmy Awards will be broadcast live by CBS from Los Angeles’ Nokia Theater on Sunday, September 20 at 8/7c. Neil Patrick Harris is hosting.

Tina Fey and Justin Timberlake’s visits to “Saturday Night Live” paid off when they were announced as the winners of Outstanding Guest Actress and Actor in Comedy Series respectively at 61st Annual Primetime Creative Arts Emmy Awards. Fey thus picked up her sixth Emmy for her career, thanks to her resemblance to Alaskan governor Sarah Palin and her knack in spoofing her.

Fey, who left her dress at home to opt pants and blazer, paid a homage to Palin in her acceptance speech. She said, “Mrs. Palin is an inspiration to working mothers everywhere because she bailed on her job right before Fourth of July weekend. You are living my dream. Thank you, Mrs. Palin.”

Timberlake, who was not spotted attending the event, made a history by becoming the first “SNL” host to win an Emmy. For the first time in years, a host of the sketch show could qualify as a contender and Timberlake marked the history. The singer however, missed the chance to get a double win when he was not selected to be the winner for Original Music and Lyrics category under which he has 2 songs “Motherlover” and “I Love Sports“.

Creative Emmy Awards, which was held a week prior to the Primetime Emmy Awards, also gave honors to Michael J. Fox, Ellen Burstyn, “Wizards of Waverly Place” and “South Park“. Network-wise, HBO beat the others by nabbing 16 golden statuettes, followed by NBC with 11.

Porn Jack:- (30s-40s) A ripped Chippendale-style stripper type who bears some resemblance to Alec Baldwin. A terrible actor. Bored with what he’s doing. Talks to Porn Liz about work and then starts to disrobe at the end of the scene. (1 scene, 3 lines).

JESSE:- (20s-40s) A dog shelter employee who shows Kenneth around the Animal Rescue Shelter where he volunteers. Jesse urges Kenneth not to get emotionally attached to the dogs, but Kenneth decides to adopt them. All of them. (1 scene, 2 lines)

SHAWN:- (30s-40s) Scandanavian. The director of “Nightstalkers,” the doomed independent zombie movie shooting in Iceland in broad daylight. He has seconds to get a shot in before the sun comes up, and hurriedly rushes Jenna to action. (1 scene, 4 Lines)

DINESH SINGH:- (20s-50s) An Indian design engineer in the Microwave Division. Jack asks Liz to help Dinesh invent a microwave that will boost corporate sales. Dinesh works tirelessly to accommodate outlandish requests from Jack and the writers, and ends up creating a mircowave that resembles a small SUV. (3 scenes, 1 line).

SUBHAS:- (60s-70s) A kindly older Indian janitor who empties Liz’s trash on the carpet and throws the garbage pail on the floor. As he exits, he yells, “You’re the Dealbreaker!” (1 scene, 1 line).

PORN LIZ:- (30s) A porn star who bears an uncanny resemblance to Tina Fey. She’s starring in a low rent movie Tracy is making about Lemon’s life. (1 scene, 1 line).

[JEFF WAYNE] (ep. 403) – a popular Southern ventriloquist, age 25-45. Jeff is a “good ol’ boy” comic who, along with his dummy, Pumpkin, impresses Jack with his insult act. GUEST STAR.

[JAYDEN MICHAEL TYLER] (ep. 404) – a 28-year old, up-and-coming comic. Jayden is Liz’s top pick for the new “TGS” cast member position. Although he seems perfectly nice at first, Jayden eventually reveals himself to be a psychopath. Comedian Tracy Morgan may have a lot on his plate, but he’s still smiling his way through life.  In addition to starring in the Disney animated movie G-Force, the 30 Rock
star just received his first Emmy nomination for his role on the show.  He’s also spending the summer shooting another film, Kevin Smith’s A Couple of Dicks.

While he’s still got time off from promoting his memoir I’m the New Black, Tracy Morgan spoke to USA Today about the current state of his life now that success is definitely coming his way.

“You want to know what happiness is?  It’s having something to look forward to, and I have all that stuff to look forward to,” Morgan said.  “Right now, I’m just basking in the glory.  I’m just enjoying my time in the spotlight.”

The actor also has other plans besides staying in the public eye.  “I might buy Coney Island,” Tracy Morgan joked.  “That’s the hardest part: to get the money to catch up with the funny.”

co-star Tina Fey who admires him enough to give him a role on the series.

“She told me to fly right,” Morgan declared.  “Tina Fey is down like four flat tires.  I love her. That’s my girl, Tina Fey-Fey.  She’s the coolest.  That’s my sister from another mother with a different color.”

With most of his success being brought about by his wacky TV alter ego Tracy Jordan, Tracy Morgan couldn’t help but smile about that as well.  “Tracy Jordan is a part of Tracy Morgan.  Tracy Morgan isn’t a part of Tracy Jordan.  Tracy Jordan is just a figment of somebody’s imagination.  Tracy Morgan isn’t as unstable as Tracy Jordan.  This is weird for me to talk in third person.  Tracy Morgan doesn’t run down the street in his underwear.  I don’t party no more.”
